Recommended Containers:
6? and large patio and mixed patio containers
Consumer Uses:
Mixed patio containers and Window boxes
Temperature Requirement:
55? to 65? F (13? to 18? C) night temperatures with a minimum of 60? F (15? C) days. Allowing the day temperature to reach 70? F (21? C) is no problem. Ample airflow will assist in even temperatures and keeping foliage dry, eliminating disease problems on foliage. Extremely high light will stress plants and may yellow foliage. A slight shade may be needed to reduce plant stress under bright conditions.

Media and pH Requirement:
Water thoroughly between irrigations. Bracteantha will dry quickly once plants are full grown and mature in size. Do not allow soil dry to an extreme, for the soil will be difficult to re-saturate sufficiently. Under drought conditions, plants will become stressed and may develop brown leaves from dehydration. The pH of the soil should be maintained at 5.5 to 6.3.
Feed Requirements:
Feed with a balanced feed at 200 to 250-PPM Nitrogen. Use a fertilizer with lower Phosphorus ratio. In a soil-less mix, additional iron may be required. Use of Calcium and Potassium Nitrate as Nitrogen source is recommended so not to create a soft or leafy plant.
Pinching Requirement:
Soft pinch once the plant established after transplant. The pinch will create needed branching for full plant development and shorten frame of plant. The Brilliance series possess thick stems and will have a sturdy plant structure.
Growth Regulators:
We recommend proper moisture maintenance, high light and proper feed rates to control height.
Disease and Insect Pests:
Aphids, Thrip, and Leafminor. Botrytis, Pythium and Phytophthora: Provide air movement around plants. Do not transplant rooted cells to deep so to cover stem of plants. Allow soil to dry between irrigations and drench with preventative fungicides. Apply fungicide spray also for Botrytis after any pinching or mechanical trimming.
