Diascia Miracle™

Recommended Containers:
4?, 6?, hanging baskets and mixed patio containers
Consumer Uses:
Mixed patio containers, hanging baskets and window boxes
Temperature Requirement:
Day - 60? to 66? F (16? to 19? C)
Night - 50? to 58? F (10? to 14? C)
The quality of plants increases with cooler growing temperatures (average 55? F 13? C) but the flowering is much slower at these temperatures.
Crop planning from cell packs:
Pot Size PPP Finish Time
4" pot (10cm) 1 6-7
6" pot (15cm) 1 8-9
10 to 12" pot (25-30cm) 9-10
Media and pH Requirement:
Water thoroughly and let soil dry at young age or just after transplanting. Keep soil consistently damp once plants are well established. If soil dries excessively at mature state, the leaves and flowers may brown rather quickly. The pH of the soil should be maintained at 5.5 to 6.0.
Feed Requirements:
Feed with a balanced feed at 200-PPM Nitrogen. In a soil-less mix, additional iron may be required. Be cautious that salts do not build in soil complex. High salts will burn leaves or flowers when soil dries or plant is stressed.
Pinching Requirement:
Soft pinch once the plant established after transplant. Additional trimming will shape mature plants.
Growth Regulators:
Growing at cool temperatures and under high light is best control of height. B-9 at 1500 to 2500 PPM will control stretch. Use B-9 before buds are visible so not to delay flowering. Rate and number of applications will vary greatly with growing conditions. Bonzi drenching is effective in controlling internode stretch.
Disease and Insect Pests:
Aphids, Thrip and Whitefly
Botrytis is largest disease concern. Spray at regular interval for preventative measure. Good air movement around plant will also eliminate Botrytis pressures.
